Dot NET Domain Name Registrations
When the Dot NET universal top-level domain extension was first set up in 1985, along with the first domain name extensions on the web, it was intended to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure entities. Considering that there were no special requirements about the usage of the top-level domain, though, dot NET domains were obtained and used for various purposes and by loads of people. This domain extension represents a wonderful alternative to dot COM, particularly if the desirable domain with the latter extension is not available for registration.
Grabbing a dot NET domain with our firm is effortless and takes no more than a couple of minutes, since we partner with an ICANN-certified registrar. You can order such a domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years, or, if you already possess a domain, you can transfer it to our firm and we will renew it after the transfer process is finished. Transfers are available for all domains, which are at least sixty days old, provided that they are unlocked and that you have an EPP transfer code – security measures established by the Registry organization against unauthorized transfers. You can easily correct the WHOIS contact info of the domain through your Control Panel interface, or, if you wouldn't like this info to be accessible at all, you can get a Whois Privacy Protection service, so nobody will be able to view your real contact details.
The dot NET top-level domain extension supports internationalized names, so you can take a decision if you want to focus on a certain country or region using a domain name in the native language, or the global Internet community – using a generic English name.
